Allright. This idea has bothering me for a while now. So i decided to write it down. A Warcraft3:TFT mod which events take place in distant future. It'll be mostly based on Warhammer 40k and a bit Starcraft. I think the factions will be:
Grand Alliance- Humans, Gnomes and Dwarves(based on space marines, imperial guard, witch and daemon hunters)
The Horde- Orcs, Trolls and Tauren(mostly based on Orks)
The Forsaken- Undead(playable race in WoW)(mostly based on dark eldar)
Scourge- more undead(based on necrons and tyranids)
Sentinels- Night Elves(based on Eldar)
Guardians- Draenei(based on TAU and protoss)
Burning Legion- Demons, evil orcs and humans(based on chaos marines)
Thats the first of my ideas. I can't show any work yet, 'cause my resources and free time are very small and limited. I'm open to suggestions and ideas.

just wanted to share my idea.
And it would still be a mod not a whole new game lol.

Slight edit:
First two hero classes for the Grand Alliance:
Inquisitor
Mystical hero adepted at fire magic and healing.
Attacks land and air units.
Can learn:
Holy Fire
Healing Touch
Fanaticism
Divine Aura
Soul Fire(ultimate)

Paladin
Melee hero skilled in healing and boosting soldiers' morale.
Attacks land units.
Can learn:
Storm Hammer
Devotion Aura
Divine Shield
Blessing of Might
Ressurection

as you can see heroes will have 5 skills instead of 4. Level cap will be raised as well.

In... 2-5 years. This is a FAN created unofficial MOD and it has no exact release date. And the fact that there is nothing done except few pages of ideas and concepts.
Another hero class for the Alliance:
Mekgineer
Ranged hero adept at heavy ranged support and field repairs.
Attacks land and air units.
Can learn:
Arcane Barrage
Cluster Rockets
Crush
Overload
Bombardment(ultimate)

well it would be funny to play wh40k in warcraft, but is it going to be total conversion, or only change graphics and skins?

@Mitabrin: graphics are going to be improwed, I'll try to make the unit textures not to look like they been roughly chopped from wood.
There are going to be some old skins(Acolyte and Wisp for example) the hardest thing will be to make undead factions and nightelves look futuristic.


Not all units will be copied from WH40k. There will be attack bikes and ala dreadnoughts(Mekgineer for example), while some of them will come from my twisted mind lol

It will be revived, I only stopped working on it due to the summer. Who want's to sit inside during a sunny day when you can grab a few 4 packs of beer and go play an insane match of street basketball? Or to go riding a bike. This year I'm planing to ride to the resort town of Palanga (about 230 kilometers from Kaunas)

Allright, after almost I got massacred by a few xerox like nutcases I decided to seal up the project for an unlimited amount of time. To keep myself busy I started working on concepts for an action game with slight RPG features. Will post some of them later.
