I saw that HoTa is making better commanders, why dont we make ours?
I dont mean commanders... lets make special creatures, that grow through game.
Every town should have animal in the beginning(instead of commander)
and upgrade them like in Disciples but without buldings.
Example: Hill keep has scorpion(to make garuda their Boss Very Happy ) and as it gains experience,
it grows to Scorcid OR something else, we choose what through upgrades.
Eagle, for the castle can be transformed to 3
forms at 2 level: young Gryph, young hipogryph, or young rok-eagle.
Than each lvl will give him 2 other ways of upgrades.
What do you think? geek

hmm in theory it seems to be good idea,but not as 2nd commanders(hota team is only changing their animations) but we could make something like class changing commanders like we could upgrade them to be beter at magic/closed fight/rnaged figght tec. but they should not be animals more like for example castle's commander:
royal guard>knight>lord knight>paladin
/
squire-ranger>sharpshooter>sniper
\
adept inquisitor>inquisitor>bishop
although it's a good idea but it require to many changes in commander's configuration(and we need to know how to add new creatures too), but i suggest to at first change commanders look like(most of them are ugly)

Ok, and how about both? But having only one per hero.
Offcourse in later addon, but for now lets make medium ones to be commanders - ex. Knight.

Hmmm, they dont have to be commanders, they can be super monsters or super soldiers, right? They dont do nothing as commanders.
And they could upgrade to 2 others per upgrade, i mean:

I have another idea - In Disciples in each town there's always 1 creature, hugely powerful, that u can't move... what u think about this?

well if it have to be "normal" creature that don't have exp and in beginning is strong as hell is imo stupid

Actually, I think I agree with Raven here. Remember, we're not going to make this expansion through WoG. Or yes, but we will delete the WoG options. The only thing who we will have left is the ERM script language and then we will create our own things.

Yes we said that, but i thought that in late addons we can use some wog... something.
Thats why i thought about animals that evolve instead of commanders.

We should take our time and make a QUALITY mod, not a QUANTITY mod. Quality is always better than quantity.

We are going to discuss this commander thing here now.

@Mitabrin: Yes, but we could make them have more spells. >_> And, we are only going to keep the ERM, not commanders, right? Our 'commanders' are heroes in battle, casting spells. That spell icon will now work for every creature, like the power lich. He can cast weakness, curse and a death ripple similiar spell, but it is not a mass effect, it will only hit one creature. I think that is a great idea.

I think we should add actions, like in h4, if the archer is better in hand to hand battle, why cant he attack melee? Let him choose "shoot" or "strike"
